Playmates

Grandparents can act as playmates, the small steps that your kids take with their cute legs along with the grannies holding their hand is a joy to watch. In many families, the grandparents teach them the first vocabularies and the ABCs of anything and everything. Children love to learn simple and sophisticated skills like gardening cooking etc from them. They seem to be good listeners. Whenever your parents are not happy with the ways you are in there is a grandma or a grandpa in the family that supports you financially and emotionally. More than this grandparents are an emotion for the grandchild because they can easily become kids and come to the level of kids rather than showing adult attitude. It is a Symbiosis where both get benefitted.

Besides these, they are an abode of spirituality. This powerful Role has a long effect on every person’s life. The way they play teaches you how to be gentle and lovable and demonstrating qualities in their action and words makes them the spiritual mentor in a child’s life.  Grandparents can alleviate the responsibilities of the parents. They can share the workload of the parents thereby making the family happy and joyful. So grandparents who are the treasure of experience can be the role models for the parents. They encourage and collaborate with the parents and make them capable of nurturing the kids.

Parenting with grandparents influences the development of the child. The way they respond to an undesirable situation plays a role in making the child adjustable to situations. When conflict happens between parents there comes uncertainty for the child in his beliefs and confidence. As co-parents, grandparents can bring them up as resilient and energetic children. This nurturing environment will help to bring harmony to family and society
